Jackson: Take US 422/PA 60 until you reach the exit for Toll Route 60 (also for Pennsylvania Turnpike/I-76). Take that exit onto Route 60 South (you will then cross the long bridge over the Mahoning River). Immediately after the bridge is the exit for PA 108 (the Mt. Jackson exit - you will need $.0.50 for the toll). After paying toll, you will turn right at the end of the ramp and continue about 2 miles to the blinker light in Mt. Jackson. At the light, turn left onto Mt. Air Road. Continue on Mt. Air road for 3 miles. When you see the apple orchard on your right, the road will eventually make a sharp right turn (and it becomes Petersburg Road). You will go up a hill past the orchard and as you go down the hill, you will see a cemetery on the left and just after that on your left is Bethel Church. From the South on PA Toll 60 (Chippewa, Beaver Valley)/Mt. Jackson: Take PA Toll 60 North until you reach the PA 108 Exit (if you are coming from Chippewa, the PA 551 exit and south, you will need $1.50 for toll. Otherwise, you will need $1.00). Continue north on Toll 60 until you reach the PA 108 Exit (The Mt. Jackson exit, the first after the mainline north tollbooth). Exit and at the end of the ramp, turn left. Continue about 2 miles to the blinker light in Mt. Jackson. At the light, turn left onto Mt. Air Road. Continue on Mt. Air road for 3 miles. From The Pennsylvania Turnpike (Interstate 76): You will need to exit the Pennsylvania turnpike at the ramp for PA Toll 60 North (New Castle/Sharon). After exiting the turnpike, you will take PA Toll 60 North (you will need $1.00 for toll). Continue north on Toll 60 until you reach the PA 108 Exit (The Mt. Jackson exit, the first after the mainline north tollbooth). Exit and at the end of the ramp, turn left. Continue about 2 miles to the blinker light in Mt. Jackson. At the light, turn left onto Mt. You will go up a hill past the orchard and as you go down the hill, you will see a cemetery on the left and just after that on your left is Bethel Church. From Darlington, Enon Valley, and points south: From Darlington, you will take PA 551 north from town and follow it for several miles. When you come to the town of Enon Valley, you will continue to follow 551 North for several more miles, and you will cross over the Pennsylvania turnpike. From that point (the bridge) continue north for 2.3 miles, and from the Turnpike Bridge, it will be the fourth road on your right (called Petersburg Road - there will be a sign for Bethel U. P. Church on the left). Turn right onto Petersburg Road and follow it about 0.7 miles up the hill, and Bethel Church will be near the top of the hill on your right. From the New Middletown/Boardman, OH and Bessemer Area: From Boardman, you will take Western Reserve Road east to it's end on Ohio route 170. Turn right and continue south on 170 until you come to traffic light at the intersection with Ohio 630. Turn left onto Ohio 630 and continue across the Pennsylvania state line and through the borough of Bessemer on PA 317. After exiting Bessemer, you will see on your right signs for Mohawk Lanes, Pizza Joes and Village Pharmacy. Immediately after this complex will be Smalls Ferry Road on your right (K & D's Gas Station and Store will be on your right immediately after this road). Turn Right onto Smalls Ferry Road and continue until you reach the end of the road (which will be PA 551 - you will see a sign for Gateway Farm Freezer Meats directly across). Turn right onto 551 south. After going about a mile and a half, you will see a sign on your right for Bethel U. P. Church and Petersburg Road. At the intersection, turn left and follow Petersburg Road about a mile up the hill, and Bethel Church will be near the top of the hill on your right. From Downtown New Castle, PA: From Jefferson Street, you will take PA 18/108/168 south until you reach Mahoning Avenue. Turn right here (follow signs for PA 18/108 - they also turn right here). Follow Mahoning Avenue about 0.6 miles. At the traffic light, turn left onto Liberty Street. Follow it for about 1 mile until you reach Montgomery Street and turn right (the street itself follows this right turn). Follow this about 0.3 miles until you see signs for PA 108 West. Turn right onto PA 108 West (Mt. Jackson Road) and follow this for about 5.4 miles. At the blinker light in Mt. Jackson, turn left onto Mt. Air Road. Continue on Mt. Air road for a few miles. When you see Dawson's Apple Orchard on your right, the road will eventually make a sharp right turn (and it becomes Petersburg Road). You will go up a hill past the orchard and as you go down the hill, you will see a cemetery on the left and just after that on your left is Bethel Church. From Wampum and Beaver Falls, PA: From Beaver Falls, proceed north on PA 18. You will follow this northward for many miles. After you pass Wampum, you will travel north on PA 18 until you reach the intersection with PA 168. At the intersection, turn left and follow PA 168 South for about one mile. At the second road on your right (Moravia Road), turn right. Follow this road to its end, and turn right onto Paden Road. Follow Paden Road for about a mile and a half until you reach McKim Road (the first on your left). Turn left and follow it to its end. At the end of the road (you will see the apple orchard ahead of you), turn left onto Mt. Air Road. The road will soon make a sharp right turn (and it becomes Petersburg Road). You will go up a hill past the orchard and as you go down the hill, you will see a cemetery on the left and just after that on your left is Bethel Church. |
