Worship at Bethel
MUSIC MINISTRY AT BETHEL

Bethel Church offers two worship services on Sunday morning, one at 8:30 AM and the other at 11:00 AM. The choir leads worship during the 11:00 AM service on the first three Sundays of the month.  The two services on the first three Sunday of the month are accompanied by the organ or piano and led either by the choir or a song leader.  Traditional hymns are also sung as well.

On the fourth Sunday of the month, the adult contemporary worship teams leads worship for both services.  If a fifth Sunday occurs, our youth contemporary praise team leads both services.

Our services are somewhat relaxed in nature, but nevertheless are intended to be a time of serious and reverent worship of God our Father through the Lord Jesus Christ and by the prompting of the Holy Spirit.  As in the Reformed Protestant tradition, it is based around the preaching of God's Word in Scripture.

We also celebrate the Lord's Supper, also called Communion or the Eucharist, several times a year.   As is Bethel's policy, the Lord's Supper is open to all who are baptized Christians who affirm that Jesus Christ is their Lord and Savior.  As for children's participation in the Lord's Supper, it is left to the discretion of the family; if a child knows Christ as their Lord and Savior and understands the purpose of this sacrament, they are certainly welcome to participate if the parents allow.  The celebration of this Sacrament is announced at least a week prior to the day upon which it will be celebrated, as in accordance with the PC(USA) Book of Order.

We also offer special services during the year, including a Maundy Thursday evening service, an Easter Sunrise service and a Christmas Eve Candlelight service.  There are also occasional evenings of song led by the contemporary worship teams.  Please see the announcements or calendar to be informed when those occur.
